REBATE PROGRAMS FOR HEAT PUMPS

Considering a transition to a more energy-efficient heating and cooling system? Heat pumps could be a fantastic option for you. They are highly efficient as they transfer heat rather than generating it from a fuel source.
Benefits:
- High Efficiency: Save on monthly bills due to greater energy efficiency.
- Up to $7,000 in Rebates: When replacing your electric heating system with a heat pump, you could be eligible for up to $2,000 from BC Hydro and up to $5,000 from the Canada Greener Homes Grant.
Types of Rebates Available:
- Ductless Mini-Split Heat Pump: Serving one zone, you can get a rebate of $1,000.
- Ductless Multi-Split Heat Pump: Serves multiple zones, also offers a $1,000 rebate.
- Central Ducted Heat Pump: Serving multiple zones and offers a $2,000 rebate.
If your home is currently heated by natural gas, oil, or propane, you could qualify for up to $11,000 in combined heat pump rebates when switching to an electric heat pump.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Product: The heat pump should be listed on the eligible products list.
- Installation: Must be completed by a certified Home Performance Contractor Network (HPCN) member.
- Primary System: The heat pump must replace a primary electric heating system and should be sufficiently sized to function as the primary heating system for the home.

- You must submit your rebate application and all supporting documentation within six months of the invoice date.
